Fundado em 1941, o Conselho Brasileiro de Oftalmologia (CBO) é a principal entidade representativa dos médicos oftalmologistas no Brasil. Tem como alicerces de sua atuação o ensino da Oftalmologia, o aprimoramento científico e ético e a defesa das prerrogativas profissionais dos médicos oftalmologistas.

Em conjunto com a Associação Médica Brasileira (AMB), outorga o Título de Especialista em Oftalmologia aos médicos aprovados na tradicional Prova Nacional de Oftalmologia, um dos exames mais concorridos do País. 

Atualmente, são 101 Cursos de Especialização em Oftalmologia credenciados pela entidade. 

Organiza todos os anos o Congresso Brasileiro de Oftalmologia, evento considerado o segundo maior em Oftalmologia de todo o mundo. Neste aplicativo, o CBO disponibiliza ao colega as mais modernas ferramentas digitais para ampliar sua experiência no 63º Congresso Brasileiro de Oftalmologia.

Founded in 1941, the Brazilian Council of Ophthalmology (CBO) is the main representative body of ophthalmologists in Brazil. Its foundations include the teaching of ophthalmology, the scientific and ethical improvement and the defense of the professional prerogatives of ophthalmologists.

Together with the Brazilian Medical Association (AMB), it grants the Specialist Degree in Ophthalmology to physicians approved in the traditional National Examination of Ophthalmology, one of the most popular exams in the country.

Currently, there are 101 Specialization Courses in Ophthalmology accredited by the entity.
